Caitlyn Calhoun

Softball Pitching Director

Caitlyn Calhoun is a Hamilton, Ohio native who attended Talawanda High school. She currently holds records for single season wins (18), strikeouts (293), shutouts (10), and no hitters (7), as well as career records for wins (50), strikeouts (971), shutouts (27), and perfect games (3) for THS.

Caitlyn is a disinguished member of the Talawanda High School Athletic Hall of Fame!

After graduation, Caitlyn continued her academic and athletic career at Valdosta State University and pitched for 4-years for the Blazers. She made 2 consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship appearances. In her junior year, she led the nation in shutouts with 19, had 4 no-hitters for a single-season conference record, and posted a 28-5 record with a 1.33 ERA. In her senior season, she was recognized as a Gulf South Conference Top Ten athlete, an award given to the best student-athletes in the conference each year by the commissioner.

Caitlyn ended her career with 6 no-hitters, 33 shutouts, and 574 strikeouts. She is also an All-American athlete, two-time first-team All-south region, two-time First Team All-GSC, two-time GSC Pitcher of the Year, and a 4-time GSC All-Academic scholar Athlete.

Caitlyn is now a teacher and is in her third season as a member of the coaching staff for Talawanda High School.
